1. High PR (pagerank) meaning high ranking:
This is the most popular mistake of webmaster in SEO. Pagerank just a tool to help Google assess important level of a website, some Google pagerank algorithms aren’t really effect and webmaster can get a high PR by some tips. But don’t forget pagerank just one of 50 Google’s criteria when rating a site. That’s mean if you focus to much at Pagerank, it’s waste time. Do something helpful for your blog such as performance content, optimizer site structure or write some useful contents. One important thing, if you exchange link too much, Google will make your site in penalty state.
I’ve seen many site has high pagerank, but their ranking is even lower than my site – just pagerank 0 
2. Exchange link with all sites of many categories:
Exchange link is important if you want your site has a high rank (with some keywords) on Google. But you should exchange link with sites have same content with your site, because it look nature. It’s really hard to explain why an entertainment exchange link with an ebook site!
My friend has an ebook site. He exchange link with many sites don’t have same content. In the past his site has pagerank 4 but now it just 2.
3. Buy backlink:
If you can’t buy link cause some reason, you can buy link from another high PR sites. It will help your site has high PR and gain rank. But you must pay attention to below notes with sites you want to buy link:
- Has a fresh content. Site which has only some contents and no change, just for buy and sell links is called Links Farm. Don’t waste your money on those sites because Google will find out you’re buy link and will has strong measures with your site.
- Don’t have too much backlinks with many categories. Like I’ve talked, too much links in many categories is dangerous. Google will think your site and those sites are exchanging link.
- Don’t put your link in nofollow tag, put your link in the footer or just put your link in index page. If you buy link on a site has much page and that site put your link on all pages, your site will has much backlinks.
4. Just SEO with high result keywords:
It’s hard – maybe impossible – for a new site when SEO a high result keywords with another sites, which have many years SEO for that keywords.
For more visitors and high conversation, instead of SEO with high result keywords, you can SEO with another keywords. For example, you want to SEO an ebook website. Instead try with keyword “ebook” you can try with name of your books, authors of your books etc.
5. Spam comment and forum signature, social networking too much:
This method can help your site has a high pagerank and more visitors. But it is not at all of SEO. Even if you use this method too much, it’s may harmful.
First, all extra links of those sites above have nofollow tag, that’s mean although you spam very much but Google not index your links.
Second, Google may ban your sites or lower your site’s pagerank.
But like I’ve talked, this method can help your site get some more visitors and – with some tips – it may help your pagerank gain.
6. Put too much keywords on Home page, Page Title or on content pages:
Some webmaster believe that they can gain high rank if they put as much as possible keywords on their site. That’s thing is very dangerous.
You look at a dog, and what can you call it? Just call DOG. Now, let’s describe it. You just can describe it has 4 legs, 2 ears and one mouth. You can’t describe it has 2 legs, 4 ears and 2 mouths. It’s what it is.
Your site is the same. You can’t call your site with some names such as: Ebooks, Love, Music, Movie, Tips etc. It’s the same when you describe your content pages. For example, with this my content page, I’ll call it is: “Popular mistakes in SEO methods of webmaster” and describe it is : “Some popular mistakes in SEO methods of webmaster and how to limit it” . That’s all!
7. Pay attention to technique SEO too much and forget refresh content:
SEO’s result is bring visitors to your site. If your site’s content isn’t rich, your visitors will go away. So, let keep your visitor like a company keep their customers. Refresh your site’s content every day and always remember : “Content is King”
