Every driver should know how to check the oil in his or her car. First, lift up the hood, and lock it open. Next, pull out the dipstick, and wipe it clean. After that, push the clean dipstick all the way into its holder. Then pull it out again, and check the oil mark. Add oil if the oil mark is below the “fill” line. Finally, replace the dipstick, and close the hood.
