Story about a girl who is traveling around the world alone

Chip, nickname of Huyen, a young Vietnamese girl who is traveling around the world that I know. I understand that nowadays, traveling around the world is not difficult at all, but with a girl who is just 21 years old, with a small number of money, can travel to many destination on our world, it’s a really exciting story.

When it began? It’s just a very simple reason, when she decided to quit her job and start traveling, her first destination is Brunei, and after Brunei, she visited India, Egypt, etc.

Now she is traveling and writing, about her trip, about people that she met. She is a good mirror for me because I am going to travel around the world, with 1000 USD in short future.

You can visit her blog at: http://travel.huyenchip.com/

I will republish some featured posts of Huyen to introduce with you about her trip.

Wish you always luck, HuyenChip!!!

Want too many things BUT Need to want less

Nowadays people try to catch their goals, satisfy as much as possible of what they want; people are in the whirl of this circle: earn money -> come in for a comfortable life -> earn more money -> come in for a more comfortable life -> …

I read the visual modern philosophy made by Erin Hanson and have same feeling with her. Today I am pleased to introduce with you her graphics.

“When I was 8 I wanted a puppy.

When I was 10 I wanted parachute pants.

When I was 12 I wanted and Ogilvie perm.

When I was 14 I wanted a boy named Robble.

When I was 16 I wanted a car.

When I was in my 20′s I wanted to make bad choices.

Now I want everything.

I only need enough to survive.”

How to create mail merge with attachment

Mail merge is the good solution to create a mass mail in case you need to write same content with many recipients.

You can use the Merge Tool from Microsoft Office to create mail merge, but how can we do if we need to add attachment in to mass mails?

I found a very good solution made by Wouter Westerveld (westerveld@users.sourceforge.net); with his script written by Java, I can write mass mail with attachments easily.

Preparation:

  • Microsoft Word and Outlook, versions 2003, 2007 or 2010.
  • Outlook must be configured such that no messages pop-up when one presses the “Send” button. One known problem is for example the spell check that pops up before sending an email.
  • In Outlook 2003, the internal outlook editor must be used (this is default), not the word editor.
  • MUST HAVE: The zip-file containing Outlook Mail Merge Attachment can be downloaded from http://omma.sourceforge.net.

This is a prepared text of the Commencement address delivered by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, on June 12, 2005.

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it. No big deal. Just three stories.
